This is an excellent quality knife. Of the different lineups Fallkniven offers, their “X” series is by far he best value. Better steel than base model and more sturdy handle construction than the pro series and price point right in the middle. They nailed it and I cannot recommend this knife more for whatever you’ll need it for.

Robust backside blade thickness tapers to a perfect, sharp, quality edge. Easy to handle grip. Lanyard hole at end of full tang blade adds a smart feature. Thought about the A1, but love this S1x blade length, design, size and weight. Overall, Outstanding knife quality.

Solid 5″ survival knife! The CoS steel is amazing! Excellent fit and finish and the knife came hair shaving sharp. I’ve heard from others that the edges on the X series haven’t come shaving sharp, but I’ve noticed these have been comments made related to those knives with the carbide tungsten-coated blades. I don’t care for coated blades, so I opted for a non-coated, satin finish. Not in the least disappointed. If you’re looking for a stainless steel blade, I highly recommend the Fallkniven X series in laminated CoS steel.
