Well made knife, made shaving sharp with a quick pass over a ceramic. On the continuum of use, this knife skews to extreme survival/combat. Likely “overkill” except in killing. A piece of art none the less.

One of the best fixed blade knives in the world.
Like the Fallknife A1, the A1X is a very nice knife.
Since the center of gravity of the whole body is on the blade, it is designed so that the tip of the blade faces down a little when you hold it lightly. This is advantageous for cutting.
Needless to say, the sharpness is wonderful.
Blade Grind is Convex, and the construction (although Fallkniven calls it Laminate) of soft steel(420J2) on the sides and hard steel(Cobalt-Special Steel,CoS) in the middle (San-Mai) are both have the same structure as the Japanese sword.
Most of the Fallkniven knives are made by Seki (Production area of Japanese swords) in Japan, so maybe that’s why.
In addition, it is heavy because of the full tang structure, but it is strong.
Anyway, I think the Fallkniven A1, A1X or A1Pro is the best choice if you choose only one survival knife or fixed blade knife.

Excellent pricing compared to other sellers, and 10% off for signing up was great.
