This knife is named SRK (Survival Rescue Knife), but I don’t think it is really suitable for heavy survival situation.
This is not the full tang, nor does a back end of blade reach a handle’s back end like Ka-Bar, it is the narrow tang.
However, for normal use, like hiking or camping, I think it will be quite useful because of its very light weight compared to other survival knives, easy to use 6″” long blade, non-slip handle, and easy to carry sheath.
Best of all, the price is only about $40, so you won’t be shocked if it breaks or you lose it.
You can abuse it as much as you want.

First the Cold Steel SRK is a great knife, not good, great. It might be my favorite fixed blade right now and I have a lot of them most cost three or four times this price. Speaking of price this was the best price I could find anywhere, and with the quick shipping and everything else Chicago Knife Works provided I will 100% be working with them again.
