If you are expecting something sharp, this is not the choice and for a few dollars more you would be better off with the Trail Boss. Unbeknown to me the blade on the Axe Gang Hatchet is going to be dull. When I questioned the lack of sharpness I was told that the Axe Gang Hatchet is a throwing Hatchet. At the time of my purchase this [a throwing hatchet] was not posted, or clearly posted, in the description on the Chicago Knife Works website. However, Elizabeth in their Customer Service Department was great in getting me the Trail Boss as a second choice. My suggestion for future transactions as such would be to comp the difference of $4.46 to the customer considering the Chicago Knife Works website had the wrong / incomplete description, I had to repackage the item, and go out of my way to make a special trip to the Post Office.
