Not the last one of these I’m going to buy. I have fallen in love with Viper folders, and though my Turn and Turn Essence are fancier, this is probably one of my top 2 favorite folders… and I have automatics, balisongs, assisted, Kershaws, LionSteels, CRKTs, Vicrotinox, CJRB, etc…
This is slow and intentional to open, needs both hands to open and close, and has no pocket clip, but I wouldn’t change anything about it. Walk and talk is great, the handles are great, but the best thing about this knife is the blade. The shape is outstanding, the edge is razor sharp, and the look is striking. I am a bit of a leatherworker and needed to do a quick touch up on a project, and my Hug did better and was easier to control than any of my Xacto or utility knives.

This is a very attractive slip joint knife and my second Viper. I love the textured titanium handless of this knife and the extremely sharp blade. The blade slightly rocks when fully opened, which I didn’t expect, but its so minor I am going to keep this knife. You do need another two hands to open and close this knife because of the stiff opening and closing of this slip joint knife. I wanted one of my knives in my knife collection to have a full titanium scales and this knife was a great bargain imho. I am quite happy with this Viper Hug slip joint, although I wish the leather slip was made of better quality leather. I deducted 1 star for this knife because of the slight blade rocking.
