Chicago Knife Work’s shipping Policy is as under:
Order Processing :
Chicago Knife Works is committed to fast and swift shipping of all orders to customers. We are closed on weekends and public holidays. Most order shipments are processed within 4 – 5 business days. Orders with shipping methods UPS 2nd day , UPS next day and USPS Express order’s cut-off time is 8 AM EST if expedited orders received after the cut off time it will ship next business day. The day your order ships (leaves our warehouse) does not count as a transit day.
In some cases orders that are shipped to an address that is not authorized by the credit card issuer are subject to delays, verification emails/phone calls, and/or cancellation. Additionally, in some cases orders that are shipped to an address other than the authorized billing address are subject to delay and verification. In situations where we cannot authenticate the validity of an order that order will be canceled.
Standard shipping methods are USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground Services.
Charged Shipping on Oversize and Overweight :
Oversized and Overweight Items will incur a standard shipping cost and or additional handling charges.
Delay Shipping:
During the promotional, festive, or holiday season, there can be a delay in the processing of orders from the warehouse, due to the large volume of orders.
Urgent Shipping:
Urgent/expedited shipment is sent over for overnight delivery. Due to some restrictions in shipping, few products can’t be shipped for overnight delivery. The expedited order’s cut-off time is 8 AM EST. If an order is received after 8 AM EST it will ship the next business day.
Shipping Confirmation:
A shipping confirmation along with the tracking number is mailed to your provided email ID. You are requested to keep a track of your shipment through provided tracking number.
International Shipments:
We do not ship orders outside of the United States. Please note that we are unable to process or fulfill any international orders at this time.
Different Billing/Shipping Address:
A shipping address other than the billing address will require special approval from our internal department and it will be at our discretion to process the order or cancel it.
Important Notice: Package Deliveries and Porch Theft
Porch theft has, unfortunately, been a growing issue. Photo confirmation of delivery is now provided by most shipping carriers as evidence of delivery. Once a package is delivered with photo confirmation, these carriers tend to consider their responsibility fulfilled.
Note: if your package is stolen once it’s delivered, it’s theft, and the shipping company will not offer compensation or reimbursement. In this case, you will need to:
Call your local police department
Report the theft
You can potentially use the police report to claim reimbursement from your renter’s or homeowner’s insurance.
We suggest keeping a close eye on tracking updates and picking up packages as early as possible to avoid theft.
