Can’t beat this for price and quality.

Could be put together a little nicer. There are gaps but none of the ones on mine are any problem, structurally. The covers are the same length as one another, but the individual pieces of jasper and so on on one are longer than on the other. It’s hard to describe without a picture, but you can tell they aren’t congruent to each other. There is a burr on part of the blade on mine, which is a first for me on any knife including an R.R., but that can just be worked out by the user.
The practical design of the knife is actually really good. I use it for small jobs cutting shrinkwrap mostly, but if you want to really apply yourself and cut up some corrugated then the lockback on this knife makes it suited to that as well, since on a knife this small you will necessarily place your index finger on the spine of the blade, which on a baby toothpick, for instance, would put you at risk of closing the knife.
I like this knife. I realize that this is an older model which possibly never caught on since there are only two reviews right now and as of this writing they haven’t updated it to the new design, but I hope that they keep it around and aren’t just waiting to sell out of their stock to discontinue. I’d love to see this baby Barlow design in any new Rough Ryder series.
