Good blade for the price. Grinding is better than expected. Edge is even and feels sharp to the thumb. Guard is fixed in place. Fitting walnut scales with 12ga copper wire pins. The holes are .084 about #44 drill. If you like steel pins some coat hanger wire is .083. You could also buy a $20 pack of brass rod for a $10 blade.
