Shopping for a knife with Chicago Knife Works was a revelation to me!Their selection is amazingly broad.I shop knives hard! When you buy a bushcraft, or a hunting knife, you need to wait to go out into the field to test it and use it and decide how well it works for you. Not so with a butterfly knife. You pull it out of the box, look it over, and start to flip it.I was immediately struck by the Very tight, accurate machining On the Lucha. When the knife is latched open or closed you can flick the handles with a finger nail and They ring like a tuning fork because they are under tension.Unlike my Benchmade 42, there is very little click and clack Or play in this knife, and yet, it is so very smooth! I managed to draw blood and less than 2 minutes, but that’s not too surprising as my enthusiasm far outpaces my ability as a flipper.The blade comes very well sharpened. The heft of the knife and it’s balance, in my inexperienced hands, seems very very good and conducive to flipping, and what I can’t get over is how smooth and precise the rotations are compared to my much loved model 42.If you are a flipper, or are interested in a full sized, high quality bali-song that will not break the bank, then I wholeheartedly recommend the Kershaw Lucha and Chicago Knife Works. They are the best combination I found after nearly an hour of searching favorite sites for knives on the internet. Their service is excellent, their shipping as promised, and the product arrived in perfect condition. This was my 1st purchase from Chicago Knife Works, but it will not be my last!

The knife is sharp. The movement is smooth. The weight is heavier than most balisongs. Painter’s or masking tape can be used to wrap the knife to prevent cutting yourself when trying tricks. No trainer needed.
