Why the heck does a classically inspired Kephart knife have wire stripping notches on the blade? The brand has hunter in the name, and the shape is all outdoors, but it has wire stripping capability? Thats like putting a bow drill divet on a karambit. Arbitrarily tacking on an unnecessary functional feature does not make a crappy knife more desirable. It’s just bizarre, not to mention an eyesore. If a knife is put together properly, it doesn’t need to be more than it already is. Stuff like that is pretty much a red flag for buyers, but cheap doesn’t always mean bad…in this case it does. Want something that performs REALLY d@mn good and costs the same as this? Morakniv craftline series. You may never need another knife, and your kid might not either. Chicagoknifeworks is one of the best distributors there is, and my very favorite. I love this site, and you will too. Thank you CKW!
