This knife is beautiful and the grip is thinner than the original micarta which seemed too far for my hand. This knife screams quality and can’t wait to use it camping and hiking

I love this knife! It fits my xl hands very well. It came very sharp, and I quickly brought it to a hair wiping edge.
The sheath has good retention, but I wish it came with a secondary retention of some kind. I’ll have to do some experimenting to figure that one out.
I chose this knife over the 105 due to the blade finish and the larger blade. The saw should work well for notching, and tinder making, as well as scoring bone etc.

Great looking knife, but with a few disappointing bits… The good first…
Tops 1095, always good stuff. the saw is easy to use for notching and other similar work. Knife is hefty, but now a hoss. It works well at chopping, batoning, etc. The grind is good and can feather stick and I do like the overall shape , look, and effectiveness of the knife. The Rocky Mountain Tread grip does fir my XL hands better than the standard handle.
Now, the not so greats… The finger groove is limiting, prescriptive, and painful. I chop or baton and my index finger hurts… Not a hot spot like to generate a blister, a sharp, hard edge to bruise your index finger good. The coating is NOT the dark stonewash I expected. It is the brown spotted ceracoat as on the M-pat. Looks good, but I specifically wanted the stonewash because of the look.
The sheath is also a bit disappointing. The o-ring between the Kydex and the clip does not hold the knife in any position but vertical. You set it with a can’t, 2 steps later, it’s vertical again.
